April 13th Update:
We now have one final task before us...and its a very important one! Each team member needs to reach out to everyone who donated and to thank them for their support. We created a letter that you can use (go to the bottom of this page). There is one generic one, a PDF, and one version in Word that you can personalize. We ask so much of our friends and family throughout the school year and we need to let them know how much we appreciate it. Thank you again for making this event a big success!
April 12th Update:
- Good morning (yawn)....
I'll soon have a more comprehensive email to the entire Lyman mailing list, but I wanted to pass along a couple of important items to the team:
- THANK YOU! Just a guesstimate, but I'm thinking we did over $2,500! We appreciate all of the individual contributions you brought up and all of your efforts throughout the event!
- After clean-up at 7:00am we would up with some extra items. We have two coolers that we stored in the concession stand (they'll probably be moved to the band room on Monday). We also have the large white canopy...the Smith family took this home to protect it. I apologize that I lost track of who brought that in, but thank you! Lisa's address is rals890@aol.com if you want to coordinate pickup. I have (and will return) the Fuller family's canopy.
- There were some extra water cases ands snacks...we will add them to our quickly approaching band camp arsenal.
- Again, we had so many wonderful valunteers throughout the event, both through hours of service (and grease slatters) and through contributions...this is what makes the band family the envy of Lyman and what makes me so proud to be a Greyhound!!
- Pictures will be posted in a bit...check the website.
